Red Raspberry Cinnacheese Burritos

Ingredients

  • Mission® Small/Fajita Flour Tortillas, warmed
  • 1 tablespoon Honey
  • 1/4 cup + 1 tablespoon Grenadine
  • 1 tablespoon Cornstarch
  • 1 cup Frozen Raspberries
  • 1 1/2 tablespoon Hershey's Cinnamon Chips
  • 4 oz. Cream Cheese
  • 1/2 tbsp. Milk
  • Peanut Oil
  • Toothpicks
  • Cinnamon
  • Sugar

Instructions

  1. 1Sauce: Over medium-high heat, add grenadine and honey.
  2. 2In a separate bowl, combine cornstarch and additional grenadine.
  3. 3Slowly add to sauce pan and stir constantly until clear and thick.
  4. 4Add berries, stir gently, trying not to crush berries, until heated through.
  5. 5Set aside to cool.
  6. 6Filling: Combine milk and cream cheese, blend well.
  7. 7Add cinnamon chips. Mixture will be thick.
  8. 8Place approximately 1 Tbsp. mixture on tortilla, spread to center, leaving about 1/2 inch free of filling on right and left side.
  9. 9Fold filling side up, then fold right and left side in, like a burrito.
  10. 10Roll up tightly and insert toothpick at loose end through burrito to hold closed while frying.
  11. 11Deep fry until golden brown.
  12. 12Sprinkle with cinnamon and sugar, top with berry sauce (whip cream and fresh berries, if desired).
